Niharika Jaokar has been working as a research assistant and a doctoral candidate at the chair of Prof. Dr. Simon Lüchinger at the Faculty of Economics and Management since July 2026. She holds a BA in Economics from Ramnarain Ruia Autonomous College (University of Mumbai), during which she was a visiting research scholar at West Chester University. She completed an MSc in Economics at Albert-Ludwigs-Universität Freiburg, where she also worked as a research assistant at the Freiburg Institute for Basic Income Studies (FRIBIS).
