Lebenslauf
Mostafa Najafi ist Oberassistent am Lehrstuhl für Philosophie der Theologischen Fakultät (seit 2021) und SNS-Forschungsmitarbeiter (Post-Doc, seit 2021) im Forschungsprojekt Senses of Being. The Medieval Reception of Aristotle's doctrine starting from Metaphysics V 7 (1017 a7–b9). An der Universität Luzern ist er als Oberassistent am Lehrstuhl für islamische Theologie tätig gewesen (2021). Seit 2025 ist er Lehr-und Forschungbeauftragter für Philosophie und Theologie der islamischen Welt an der Theologischen Fakultät.
Nach seinem Bachelor- und Master-Abschluss in Philosophie im Iran (an der Universität Mofid 2009 bzw. an der Universität Shahid Beheshti 2011), promovierte er 2019 im Fach Philosophie an der Albert-Ludwigs-Universität Freiburg. Parallel dazu studierte er von 1998 bis 2011 die philosophischen, theologischen und rechtstheoretischen Traditionen der islamischen Welt am Theologischen Seminar in Qom.
An der Universität Freiburg war er zwischen 2012 und 2019 als wissenschaftlicher Mitarbeiter und Lehrbeauftragter am Lehrstuhl für Philosophie der Vormoderne tätig sowie 2017 am Lehrstuhl für Islamwissenschaft. Er wirkte an mehreren Drittmittelprojekten mit, darunter ERC-Forschungsprojekt MEMOPHI (Medieval Philosophy in Modern History of Philosophy; 2018-2019) und das DFG-Forschungsprojekt LiDiAC (Linguistic Disciplines in Arabic Culture 900–1200; 2012–2017).
