Garima Yadav, Dr.
CV
Garima Yadav is a Social Anthropologist and sociologist. Her teaching and research interests revolve around medical anthropology, the sociology of law, gender studies, and public policy. She is the co-author of Public Policy in India: Concepts, Ideals, and Realities.
After completing her Bachelor’s degree at Lady Shri Ram College for Women and her Master’s at Jawaharlal Nehru University (JNU), Garima received her Ph.D. from the Department of Sociology, University of Delhi. Her doctoral thesis, “Pregnancy and Childbirth: Issues of Choice, Control and a Woman’s Body,” provides a sociological analysis of reproductive health in India. During her doctoral research, she was a recipient of the Junior Research Fellowship (JRF) and Senior Research Fellowship (SRF) granted by the University Grants Commission (UGC). She was also awarded a DAAD-UGC Research Fellowship at the University of Göttingen, Germany.
Her academic career includes positions as an Assistant Professor at Symbiosis Law School, University of Delhi, and Ambedkar University in India. She has also served as a visiting faculty member at the SOIL Institute of Management. In addition to her academic roles, she has professional experience as a Senior Instructor and Content Strategist in the Ed-tech sector.
