Laurent Dousset is now lecturer at the University of Luzern and independent researcher, after having been professor of anthropology and researcher at the EHESS (Ecole des Hautes Etudes en Sciences Sociales, Paris-Marseille), The Australian National University and the University of Western Australia. He was trained in Social and Cultural Anthropology and Sociology at the Sorbonne and at the EHESS, and received the Habilitation at the University of Strasbourg.
