Prof. Dr. Frank J.P. Beeres, geboren 1982, ist per 23.6.2023 zum Titularprofessor für medizinische Wissenschaften an der Fakultät für Gesundheitswissenschaften und Medizin der Universität Luzern ernannt worden.
Frank Beeres studierte Humanmedizin im niederländischen Leiden. Dort absolvierte er seinen PhD und erhielt seinen chirurgischen Facharztausbildung mit dem Schwerpunkt Unfallchirurgie. Seine Ausbildung vervollständigte er durch mehrere nationale und internationale Fellowships und schloss sie mit dem Europäische Fachexamen für Traumatologie (EBSQ) ab.
Seit 2015 arbeitet Frank Beeres am LUKS Luzern in der Klinik für Orthopädie und Unfallchirurgie und ist verantwortlich für die Polytraumaversorgung und die Traumatologie der oberen Extremitäten. Seine Venia Legendi erlangte er an der Universität Zürich zum Thema «Questioning the Routine in Trauma Surgery».
Seit 2022 ist Frank Beeres Chefarzt und Leiter des Trauma-Teams. Er ist zudem verantwortlich für die klinische Forschung der Klinik. Neben der klinischen und wissenschaftlichen Tätigkeit ist er stark in der Aus- und Weiterbildung engagiert und ist Berater in verschiedenen nationalen und internationalen Experten-Gruppen.
