Prof. Dr. Peter G. Kirchschlaeger criticizes the misleading and dangerous marketing language used by multinational technology-companies to sell so-called “AI friends” or “AI companions”.

Due to the lack of emotional and social intelligence as well as of moral capability, data-based systems (DS) cannot act as “friends”.
