Canteen
The catering team of the ZFV-Unternehmungen cooperative serves a varied menu at "Mensa 1574", located on the ground floor of the University/PH building. The menu focuses primarily on vegan and vegetarian dishes and is freshly prepared on site each day using seasonal ingredients. During the main teaching term, it includes three daily specials, a hot food buffet and a varied salad bar.
The Kaffeebox offers a selection of fresh baked goods, muesli, sandwiches, salad bowls, and hot and cold drinks.
Both the canteen and the Kaffeebox are open Monday to Friday during the regular teaching term. Opening hours are reduced between semesters, and the canteen may be closed for some of this time.
There are three price categories for meals:
- Students (with a valid student ID): Bachelor's and Master's students, as well as doctoral students.
- Staff (with proof of eligibility): Staff of the University of Lucerne, the PH Lucerne and Lucerne University of Applied Sciences and Arts (HSLU); participants in further education programmes (CAS, DAS and MAS); staff of KKL Lucerne and SRG; and tradespeople working on the premises.
- External visitors: Visitors to the University of Lucerne or the PH Lucerne.
To qualify for discounted prices, customers must present the relevant card or other proof of eligibility without being prompted.
Cutlery is provided free of charge with every purchase. If you do not purchase any food or drink, a contribution of CHF 0.80 towards costs applies.
