Health Sciences and Health Policy
Broad understanding of health
In the Department of Health Sciences and Health Policy, we address the complex and multifaceted nature of health through an integrated approach that combines the strengths of different scientific disciplines. We understand health not merely as a biological state but also as a dynamic interaction between individuals, communities, and the broader societal structures that shape functioning and well-being.
We strive for a comprehensive understanding of health needs and how these can be effectively met by society. Our research spans a wide array of critical areas, including health communication, health and social behavior, health economics and policy, health services research, and health data science. By fostering collaboration across these domains, we aim to generate insights that are both scientifically robust and practically applicable, informing policy and improving health outcomes at all levels of the health system.
