This is an intensive course concerning human rights litigation before the European Court of Human Rights. The course introduces the participants to the individual complaints procedure under the European Convention on Human Rights, covering the fundamental knowledge required as a practitioner before the Court. To that end the workshop addresses issues such as the admissibility criteria, how to lodge an application and to request interim measures and how to prepare and plead one’s case. Hence, this course will not deal with substantive matters relating to the Court’s case law.
