Is poverty a Human Rights violation? It is estimated that 1.22 billion people live on less than $1.25 a day. This course examines the relationship between Human Rights and extreme poverty and initiatives focused on addressing the issue, including U.N. Human Rights Council Resolutions 8/11 and 17/13, and the Millennium Development Goals.
