Faculty Development Program
The Faculty Development programme aims to systematically promote and support lecturers, researchers and other faculty members. Faculty Development serves personnel and organisational development and aims to strengthen employees’ competencies in teaching, research and leadership.
The Faculty Development Programme of the Faculty of Health Sciences and Medicine comprises the following three areas:
- Teaching and didactics
- Research and promotion of young researchers
- Leadership and management
To strengthen the teaching and didactic competencies of lecturers, the Faculty regularly offers the “Basiskurs Didaktik Gesundheit und Medizin” (in German) as well as other workshops and modules.
Upcoming offers are communicated to all faculty members and lecturers. To participate in a course and to access the course materials and further information, you need an account on OLAT (access by invitation only). There are instructions on how to create an account. As soon as you have an account, please contact stefan.gysin. @ unilu.ch
To promote its researchers, the Faculty organises various events such as the Research Seminar in Health Sciences and Medicine and runs its own programme to promote young researchers. In cooperation with the Health Cluster Central Switzerland, the annual «Research Symposium Health Lucerne» is organised, which provides a platform for the promotion and networking of scientific research in the field of health and medicine in the region.
The faculty regularly organises its own events in leadership and management. These events offer good opportunities for networking (keyword «community building»). In addition, there are collaborations with various partner institutions, such as the Lucerne Cantonal Hospital, with which the symposium series «Ärztliche Karriereplanung» is realised. Upcoming events are communicated to all faculty members and lecturers.
