International Workshop on Movement(s)

From 5 to 9 June, the Institute for Interdisciplinary Legal Studies - lucernaiuris hosted the 2023 edition of the Critical Times workshop.

Workshop participants with Prof. Vagias Karavas and Dr. Steven Howe (University of Lucerne)

Curated around the lead theme of “Movement(s)”, the event welcomed a cohort of doctoral and postdoctoral researchers from across five continents for a week of intensive study and intellectual exchange. Through a varied programme including seminars, lectures, presentation sessions and a film screening, participants were offered a unique platform to think – deeply, critically and creatively – about contemporary issues of law, politics and justice, and about methodological practices and innovations.

The workshop programme is available here.

Critical Times: Law, Humanities and Critique is a network-based project, led by the Institute for Interdisciplinary Legal Studies at the University of Lucerne. The project is supported by a grant from Movetia – the Swiss national agency for mobility and exchange.
