Alumni Award
Alumna and Alumnus of the year
The ALUMNI Organisation honours an alumna and an alumnus of the University of Lucerne who have distinguished themselves through outstanding achievements in society, science, business or culture and have thus contributed in a special way to the positive perception of the University of Lucerne in the regional, national or international public.
The price is awarded yearly and includes a written award, honorary membership of the ALUMNI organisation and a monetary amount. The award is conferred during the Dies academicus of the University of Lucerne.
Nomination
Persons can be nominated who are defined as alumni according to the statutes of the ALUMNI organisation. Membership of the association is not required. Alumni are all former students who have completed their studies (Bachelor, Master or Doctorate) at one of the six faculties (incl. RPI).
Nominations can be made by the Alumni Board, the faculties as well as the Rectorate of the University of Lucerne. At the beginning of each year, the Alumni Board invites nominations in writing or electronically by the end of April of the award year. Proposals must include a brief justification and a short curriculum vitae.
