ETH Zukunftsblog: An AI future worthy of humanity

The ethical opportunities and risks of so-called "artificial intelligence (AI)", which is even more aptly called data-based systems (DS), are immense for humanity.

Prof. Dr. Peter G. Kirchschläger demands that DS should always be developed and operated based on human rights. To address the ethical opportunities and risks, an International Data-based System Agency IDA should be created at the UN. There is an urgent need for a global supervisory and approvals agency that protects the well-being of humanity and the planet.

Prof. Dr. Peter G. Kirchschläger is now receiving renowned support for human rights-based DS and for IDA from The Elders, a group of global leaders founded by Nelson Mandela, and from UN Secretary-General António Guterres. They support DS and IDA and call on UN member states to act accordingly.
