Professor Andreas Furrer
Andreas Furrer has been a Professor of Private Law, Comparative Law, Private International Law and European Law at the University of Lucerne since it was founded. His research projects focus on issues related to transport and logistics law, private international and procedural law, and international business law. He lectures on the Swiss Code of Obligations, Conflicts of Law, transport and logistics law and Blockchain and Smart Contracts.
Andreas Furrer is the Director of the Center for Logistics and Transport Law KOLT and was a partner at MME law firm in Zurich and Zug from 2007 until 2020. As from July 2020, he acts as a legal Counsel and expert at MME. Andreas Furrer is the Head of the Legal Department of the Zenotta Group and a founding member of the Swiss Arbitration Academy. Since 2011 he is the director of the primius scholarship programme. This unique programme supports particularly able and ambitious students and doctoral candidates.
