The Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences places strong emphasis on analysing the various mechanisms of social exclusion, discrimination, and disadvantage from a research perspective. It is also committed to fostering a diverse and inclusive environment for teaching, learning, and working within the faculty. To support this commitment, the faculty has adopted an action plan to promote equality:
Massnahmen zur Geschlechtergleichstellung an der KSF (Measures to promote gender equality at the KSF)
Lecturers are asked to support the faculty's efforts to use gender-neutral language. The following brochure provides helpful tips for using gender-neutral language in lectures:
Sprache und Bild. Ein Leitfaden zur Gleichbehandlung aller Geschlechter (Language and images. A guide to equal treatment of all genders)
