120 students successfully complete HRM lecture

In spring semester 2021, the lecture Human Resource Management was held for the fifth time at the Faculty of Economics and Management of the University of Lucerne.

At the beginning of February, just in time for the beginning of the semester, the 2nd edition of the book HRM basics by Prof. Dr. Bruno Staffelbach was published. As in spring term 2020, the lecture was broadcasted live in ZOOM, recorded and then uploaded to SwitchTube, making it accessible to students. Prof. Dr. Bruno Staffelbach, supported by Naemi Jacob, introduced the more than 100 students to the basics of Human Resource Management. In addition to the theoretical basics, practical knowledge was also imparted by means of guest lectures. Matthias Moelleney introduced the students to motivation management from a practical point of view. Dr. Stephan Hostettler gave a lecture on the topic "pay systems for managers" and Dr. Eva-Maria Aulich gave an introduction to "decision errors in HRM". In case studies students had the opportunity to apply the knowledge gained to concrete practical examples. After the exam at the end of June, the semester break now begins.
