Open Science stands for an open, transparent and comprehensible scientific culture. To honour the commitment to this central topic, the University of Lucerne presents the Open Science Award every year. Researchers who implement Open Science in their scientific work to a particularly high degree are honoured.
The Open Science Award is endowed with CHF 1000 and is presented by the Rector at the Dies Academicus. The winners are selected by a jury in which all faculties of the University of Lucerne are represented.
You can now apply for the Open Science Award 2025 or suggest suitable individuals or teams for nomination. The application process has been simplified and only takes about 5 minutes:
