Welcome Presentation & Reception / International Relations Office

All new international degree-seeking students are invited to a Welcome Presentation held by the International Relations Office Team. During this session, you will receive essential information on all administrative tasks that need to be completed when moving to Lucerne.

Global Lounge

The International Relations Office is excited to invite you to our university’s Global Lounge – an opportunity to connect, share experiences and enjoy a warm, welcoming space with our growing international community. During the fall semester 2026, we always meet on the first Monday of the month, the next Global Lounge takes place:

The Global Lounge is designed to bring together students and staff from across the globe for a casual meet-up over a drink. Whether you’re looking to meet new people, share your cultural experiences or just relax in a friendly environment, this is the event for you. Workshop Intercultural Communication Skills

The University of Lucerne together with the Institute of Communication & Leadership (Lucerne) organizes workshops on intercultural communication ; one of the main objectives of this workshop is to develop strategies to deal with intercultural challenges when studying and working at the University of Lucerne.
