Itir Bozkurt Umur completed her Bachelor’s degree in business administration in 2007 at the Istanbul Technical University and the State University of New Paltz, New York and her Master’s degree in marketing communications in 2010 at Galatasaray University, Istanbul. She worked between 2007 and 2014 in the field of market research in different industries, including pharma and telecommunications. After moving to Switzerland in 2014, she did a second master’s degree in public opinion and survey methodology at the University of Lucerne, which she completed in 2017. Between 2019 and 2024 she worked as research assistant and doctoral candidate at the chair of Marketing and Strategy with Prof. Dr. Leif Brandes - Universität Luzern and she completed her dissertation “Trustbound Journeys: The Interplay of Transparency, Relationship Marketing, and Technology in Buyer-Seller Relationships” in June 2024. Since February 2025 she works as research associate at the Center of Human Resource Management with Prof. Dr. Bruno Staffelbach - Universität Luzern.
