Dogan Dalay completed his Bachelor’s degree in Economics at Sabancı University in Istanbul, Turkey, in 2011. He then completed a double Master’s degree in Quantitative Finance at the University of Bologna and in Business Mathematics (Wirtschaftsmathematik) at Ludwig Maximilian University of Munich in 2013. He joined Bocconi University in 2014 and completed a PhD in Business Administration and Management with a specialization in strategic management. Between 2019 and 2025, he worked as a postdoctoral researcher at the University of Zurich’s Chair of International Management with Prof. Dr. Thomas Keil. He joined the University of Luzern in June 2026 as a research associate in strategic management, working with Prof. Dr. Sybilla Merian. His research focuses on the interaction between science and invention in corporations, M&A activities, and founder CEOs.
