About the faculty

The Lucerne University Faculty of Law is the youngest law faculty in Switzerland. Since October 2001, the law faculty offers a curriculum based on the Bologna Model. Since then, the Lucerne University Faculty of Law has experienced an increase in popularity and number of students.

The study of Laws is an educational discipline that has been established for decades and where there is a relatively constant demand. It is the faculty’s concern to support students in small tutorial groups and to maintain the personal contact between lecturers and students.

The Lucerne Faculty of Law offers an accomplished and prestigious program, which provides students with excellent opportunities in the job market, teaches skills essential for internships and work, and prepares them to score high (above average) on the Cantonal lawyer’s exams.
