Gidon Frischkorn studied psychology at Heidelberg University (B.Sc. 2012, M.Sc. 2015) and received his PhD there in 2019 with distinction (summa cum laude). He then worked as a postdoctoral researcher and senior researcher at the Department of Psychology, University of Zurich. Since 2023, he leads the junior research group "Cognitive Psychometrics" as an SNF Ambizione Fellow at the University of Zurich. Since August 2025, he is also a Lecturer and Research Associate in Statistics and Methods at the University of Lucerne, where he contributes to building the methods curriculum in the B.Sc. Psychology program. He was elected a Fellow of the Psychonomic Society in 2024.
At the University of Lucerne, he teaches statistics with accompanying exercises and develops interactive materials for hands-on methods training in R. He also offers workshops on structural equation modelling, Bayesian statistics, and cognitive process modelling.
