Research Data Management
The ZHB offers courses, workshops and personal consultations on all aspects of research data management and the publication of research data. The repository LORY of the University of Lucerne is suitable for the publication of research data - as long as they may be made freely accessible.
Bibliometrics
Bibliometrics – What is it about?
Bibliometrics refers to the quantitative analysis of scholarly publications and their citations. Using bibliometric methods, it is possible to show how scientific publications are perceived within the academic community, how certain topics develop, or which publication venues are used most frequently. Bibliometrics is also used to make structures, trends, and influences in research visible.
Questions about bibliometrics?
Here you will find concise information, helpful tips for researchers, as well as contact details for your inquiries.
Learning Spaces for PhD and postdoctoral Students
24 seats with 48 lockers are available to doctoral and post-doctoral students of the University of Lucerne and the PH Lucerne in a separate room. The workspaces are allocated for half a year and are free of charge. You can apply for a place using the online form.
Create an Institutional Account
In your daily work, different types of library accounts may be used. On the one hand, your colleagues or supervisors might borrow materials using their respective personal library accounts. On the other hand, it is possible to open a library account as a non-legal entity – for example, as a chair, institute, or moot court. This can be useful when academic staff working together on a project wish to use literature jointly.
You can register for an institutional account online via SLSP Registration for Institutions. You will receive a confirmation email with instructions to contact the library from which you would like to order your first item. That library will verify and activate your account. This process can take several working days. Once the account has been activated, you will be informed.
More information about the registration
If you have any questions, feel free to contact us at: info.upg@zhbluzern.ch
By the way: If you do not yet have a personal library account, you can of course register for one as well. You can find the registration here. We already wish you many enjoyable hours of reading!
