Asst.-Prof. Markus Schreiber’s chair examines the impact of blockchain technology on the governmental regulation of economic stakeholders. The chair also collaborates with other legal and humanities chairs within the Zug Institute for Blockchain Research. Additionally, the chair conducts research into how law in general handles technical innovation and digitalisation. Other areas of research include infrastructure law, especially energy law, as well as constitutional and administrative law, particularly with regard to the exercise of fundamental rights in the digital age.
