Sascha C. Briner was raised in Winterthur. Following his studies at the Kantonsschule Büelrain, he completed an eighteen-month internship within the banking sector. He then pursued his legal education at the ZHAW School of Management and Law as well as at the University of Lucerne, where he obtained a Master of Law in 2018. His subsequent professional career included positions at an international business law firm, at the District Court of Zurich, and at an insurance company, where he served as a project manager and specialist coach in contract law. Thereafter, he was admitted to the Zurich Bar.

Since May 2024, Sascha C. Briner has been employed as a research and teaching assistant at the University of Lucerne, working at the Chair of Business and Corporate Law with a focus on Financial Market Law, held by Prof. Dr. iur. Franca Contratto. Since September 2024, he has additionally held a lectureship in private law tutorials.

Alongside his duties at the Chair, he is pursuing his doctoral research project. His research focuses particularly on audit law, company law, and financial market regulation.
