The Faculty of Law at the University of Lucerne has been offering the primius scholarship programme since the fall semester of 2011. This programme, run alongside studies, supports particularly able and ambitious students and doctoral candidates.

It ensures that the needs of these students and doctoral candidates, as well as of society and the labour market, are met in a targeted fashion. This form of support programme is unique among law faculties in Switzerland.

In addition to specialist knowledge, the programme also focuses on promoting more general skills. The support programme therefore also includes further training in the fields of communication, management and conflict resolution, interdisciplinary courses in areas such as business administration, or classes to increase social and cultural skills.
