Armin Gemperli holds a master’s degree in Mathematical Statistics from the University of Bern and a PhD in Biostatistics from the University of Basel. He did research in spatial disease modeling as a postdoc at the Johns Hopkins University, Baltimore, and in environmental and genetic epidemiology at the University of Basel. From 2008 to 2012 he worked as statistician and group leader in clinical trials, first in a clinical research organization in Basel, later in the clinical trials unit of the University of Bern.
