Joint Medical Master UniLU-UZH

Around 40 students each year begin their Master’s degree in Human Medicine at the University of Lucerne, offered in collaboration with the University of Zurich. In this practice-oriented undergraduate program, students learn about relevant conditions and diseases, as well as the tasks and roles of physicians across different healthcare sectors. The program aims to prepare students for the successful completion of the Federal Licensing Exam, which is a prerequisite for postgraduate medical training. The curriculum places particular emphasis on primary health care, interprofessional collaboration, and health systems science. The courses take place mainly in the region of Central Switzerland and, due to the cohort size, involve a lot of interactive small group and bed-side teaching. There is a close exchange between students, lecturers and the study center.
