Private Law and Blockchain
Assistant Professor Claude Humbel, LL.M. (Berkeley)
The Chair of Private Law and Blockchain, headed by Claude Humbel, deals with the diverse interfaces between the digital economy and private law. It focuses on the interactions between private law and distributed ledger technology and smart contracts. In addition, the chair researches the use of artificial intelligence in private, corporate and financial markets law. Alongside general contract and liability law issues, a particular focus is on the organisational structure and governance of new forms of companies.
In addition to its research activities, the chair is committed to providing contemporary, student-oriented teaching. Particular attention is paid to Italian-speaking students.
