CV
Anne Maas holds a master’s degree in social sciences with a focus on youth and mental health, graduating cum laude. After completing an internship in psycho-oncology research at the Helen Dowling Institute in the Netherlands, she worked on her PhD at the Princess Máxima Center for Pediatric Oncology from 2020-2024. In her research, she quantitatively examined the psychosocial functioning of adult survivors of childhood cancer in a large cohort, identifying risk and protective factors, including physical health conditions and benefit finding. Additionally, she led the implementation and evaluation of a web-based application to monitor health-related quality of life in survivorship care with Patient Reported Outcome Measures (PROMs), using both quantitative and qualitative methods.
In August 2024, she joined the University of Lucerne, where she is involved in various projects, with a primary focus on the e-QuoL project. This European initiative aims to develop e-health tools for childhood cancer survivors and their loved ones. By creating these online support platforms, high-quality psychosocial resources and information will be made available across Europe.
