Christoph Merlo MD is physician with Swiss board certification in internal medicine. After training and occupation as consultant/senior physician in hospitals, he has been working in his own private group practice of internal and family medicine in Lucerne since 1999. From 1997 to 1998, he worked as senior medical officer in a district hospital in Namibia. For many years, he has taught students and assistant physicians in family medicine. In addition, he has been expert for the final board exams of internal medicine und lecturer at the Universities of Basel, Bern and Lucerne. He was co-founder and head of the Institute of Primary and Community Care, Lucerne (2014-2020). After Integration of the Institute in the Center for Primary and Community Care in February 2021, he acts now as Co-director.
