We are delighted to welcome Prof Dr Gerd Gigerenzer to the University of Lucerne. Gerd Gigerenzer is one of the most influential psychologists in the German-speaking world. In his specialist areas of decision-making, dealing with risk and behavioural economics, he has published a large number of works - including popular ones - and thus made a lasting contribution to research and public debate. The title of his presentation is:

"Helping Doctors and Patients Make Sense of Health Statistics"

Gerd Gigerenzer will address problems in the interpretation and presentation of health statistics and discuss a range of effective tools for understanding and communicating facts.

After the presentation, there will be an opportunity for an exchange over drinks and snacks.

The event is open to the public and free of charge. The lecture will be held in English.
