A warm welcome to the University of Lucerne. I would like to wish you all a successful and fulfilling semester.
Learning can be a tricky business! If we learn nothing, we stay as we are. If we learn, then we see, know and can do more. But learning is also risky because we leave the familiar behind and enter new territory.

Prevention of Sexual Harassment: newly designated confidants
#MeToo were the words of the year in 2017. Long before the women and men in Hollywood went public with their accounts of systematic sexual harassment in the workplace, Campus Luzern recognised and took action against this problem. Any form of sexual harassment at a place of work or study is unacceptable and will result in appropriate measures and sanctions. Anyone affected can expect to receive quick and competent support from one of the four designated confidants: Lucia Sidler (University of Lucerne), Irene Müller (HSLU), Jonas Bamert (PH Luzern) and Roland Blunier (external confidant).
