MOL Representations and Open Positions
The MOL enables members of the academic mid-level to participate in decisions made at university level through representation on university-wide committees. Committee work is also a good opportunity to understand how the university works, to gain an insight into the issues and processes and to network internally.
Do you have any questions about the positions or the work involved? Are you interested in becoming a representative? Contact us by email: molremove-this.@remove-this.unilu.ch or directly the current representatives. The following positions are available from June 2024:

Member Fees
Our work is financed by membership fees and funds from the University of Lucerne. The contributions of CHF 15.- are invoiced each semester in January and July at the same time as the semester fee (for doctoral students) or by payment slip (e-mail from the Finance and Accounting Department of the University of Lucerne). You have received the invoice for Spring Semester 2024 in the last few weeks.
In this article, we briefly explain the most important facts about invoicing.

NEWS FROM OUR REPRESENTATIVES AND WORKING GROUPS
The Academic Mid-Level at the Faculty Assembly
What actually do mid-level representatives in the faculty assemblies? The representatives, two per faculty assembly, have voting rights and inform the mid-level about decisions made by the faculty assembly or introduce new topics. These representatives work independently of the Mid-level Organisation University Lucerne (MOL), but regularly exchange information with us in order to effectively represent the interests of the academic mid-level.
In the context of the academic self-administration, mid-level representatives play a key role in university decision-making processes. While the MOL acts at university level, representation at faculty level is carried out by mid-level representatives elected in the faculty assemblies.
Open position at the Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences (KSF) Participation offers valuable insights into the university and faculty structures and enables internal networking. With a time commitment of one meeting per month, a position is now open for interested members of the academic mid-level of the Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences (KSF). If you are interested, please contact Ronja Friedl (ronja.friedlremove-this.@remove-this.unilu.ch) or Antonia Steigerwald (antonia.steigerwaldremove-this.@remove-this.unilu.ch).

Women* in Academia: Program Spring Term 2024
Once again, Women* in Academia has a lot to offer for all young female academics at the University of Lucerne throughout the current term. The workshop “Feminine Leadership Communication Skills in Academia” with Marisa Waldburger (May 23/24) is already confirmed. As usual, we also meet for the WiA Joint Lunches - on March 26 and May 14. We are busy working together in the “WiA Writing Peer Group”, where 45-minute online writing sessions can be proposed at short notice and where we can feel as a part of the community while writing on our own laptops. And we dare to try something new with Wedneswalk or Fridaytalk: On dates to be determined, we will jointly escape the food coma at 1 pm and take a lively walk from the University to the Museum of Transportation and back.
More Information on the offers can be found here.
