Dear MOL-Member,
The new semester is gaining momentum – and so are we. Whether on the ice at the curling event on 23 March, at our shared lunches, at the apéros, or at the General Assembly on 4 May, we look forward to lively encounters, inspiring exchanges, and many familiar as well as new faces.
At the same time, this is a great opportunity to actively shape the mid-level community: several positions on the board will be re-filled, and we are looking for engaged colleagues who would like to take on responsibility. Perhaps now is the right moment for you to get involved?
Warm regards, Your MOL Executive Board
Andrea Aegerter (faculty-independent), Lea Keller (RF and Treasurer), Alexander Ort (GMF), Alejandra Rodriguez (WF), Johannes Saal (KSF), Joshua Schibli (TF), Flavia Tinner (VPF)
Would you like to get actively involved in the Mid-Level Organisation (MOL)?
As of April 2026, as well as June/August 2026, several seats on the MOL Board and positions on various committees will become vacant and need to be filled.
For the work of the MOL, it is particularly important that the Board is broadly representative and ideally composed of members from all faculties. For this reason, filling the upcoming vacancies on the Board is of central importance to ensure that the interests of the mid-level staff continue to be represented in a diverse, balanced, and cross-faculty manner.
Have we sparked your interest, or do you have questions about the roles and responsibilities? If so, please feel free to contact us by the end of March 2026 at mol@unilu.ch or speak to us at the next General Assembly.

¹ For this position, candidates have already come forward (status as of 30 January 2026). However, in the interest of fairness and transparency, all upcoming vacancies are officially advertised, and we welcome further expressions of interest. ² Board seats are generally filled by representatives of the respective faculties. If no candidate is found from a specific faculty for a vacant Board seat, the position may be filled by a candidate from another faculty in order to ensure the Board’s ability to function. We therefore explicitly encourage candidates from other faculties to apply.
MOL lunches and apéros
The MOL lunches and apéros offer an informal opportunity for members of the academic mid-level staff to exchange ideas, make new contacts, and strengthen the community. These gatherings take place regularly during the semester and are announced via Teams and on the homepage.
