Informationen für Angehörige – 21. Dezember 2021

Dear members of the MOL

The year is drawing to a close. We look back on a multifaceted and successful 2021: The MOL agreed on a multi-year service agreement with the University of Lucerne, will get its own administrative office, continued to connect with its members in monthly MOL meetings, and elected numerous members to the offices and committees during the annual meeting. In addition, the work in various working groups is running at full speed. For the success of all these activities, the MOL counts on the commitment and cooperation of its members. Therefore, we would like to take this opportunity to thank all of you for helping shape the MOL.

We are now looking forward to the new year: New projects - such as a survey on the status quo on working conditions and social events - are in the planning and will take concrete shape in the coming year 2022. All of this is only possible with your active support. With this in mind, we look forward to continuing these collaborations.

We wish you a Merry Christmas, a joyful end of the year, and all the best for 2022!
With best wishes
Your MOL Board

Sandra Gratwohl (KSF), Aline Leimann (RF), Alexander Ort (GWM), Monika Plozza (RF)

UNIVERSITY RESEARCH POOL

Dear researchers at the University of Lucerne

We would like to draw your attention to the University Research Pool initiative, which was launched in December 2020 at the University of Lucerne. The aim of the cross-faculty initiative is to give researchers access to a pool of participants for surveys and experimental research projects.

Researchers at the University of Lucerne can apply for a researcher account via researchpoolremove-this.@remove-this.unilu.ch. Once registered, researchers can easily embed their own surveys and experiments from external survey tools such as Unipark or Qualtrics in Sona Systems. You can find more information about this under the following link.

The research pool currently has over 600 subjects with a response rate of around 45 percent. Due to the different incentive systems for students in the faculties, participation varies greatly across the faculties. The Faculty of Economics (85 percent) and the Department of Health Sciences and Medicine (12 percent) are most strongly represented. Surveys can be conducted in both German and English. The system allows for segmentation by language, as well as other variables.

We look forward to welcoming your surveys and experiments on Sona Systems in the future
Best regards,
Your Research Pool Team
David Finken & Flavia Tinner

Women Lawyers Switzerland

20 years ago, Juristinnen Schweiz was founded - an occasion to make our association better known. Our ambition is to create a network for women lawyers. We provide a platform for our members to connect on a local, national and international level. At the same time, the association also supports members in their personal career steps, e.g. through letters of recommendation.

Together, we stand up for women-specific perspectives in lawmaking, jurisprudence, comparative law, legal research, teaching, and education. In the past year, we have been concerned with the following topics, among others (only in German, French, Italian available):
- New case law of the Federal Supreme Court on post-marital maintenance
- National gender equality strategy: unambitious and lacking vision
- More diversity at the Federal Supreme Court!
- Violence during pregnancy and birth
- CEDAW briefly explained - the UN Women's Rights Convention and Switzerland

Regular meetings are held for personal exchange. As soon as this will be possible again, I would like to invite you to the next event. So you can get an idea of the association yourself. Until then you can find more information on the website lawandwoman.ch.
