Dean's Welcome

Dear Incoming Students

Welcome to the Faculty of Law at the University of Lucerne. You have taken a courageous step in your academic career by choosing to spend the spring semester of 2023 at a foreign university, a decision that will be rewarded with unique opportunities both academically and socially. At the University of Lucerne, we pride ourselves on being an internationally orientated faculty with a wide range of courses offered in English. You will deepen your understanding of the law in a number of different fields and profit from a vibrant learning environment. Moreover, the scenic location of our campus in the heart of Switzerland provides for a perfect starting point for exploring numerous sights, ranging from the surrounding Swiss Alps all the way to major European cities. I am convinced that all these aspects will inspire you to make the most of your time in Lucerne. Beginning with this letter, you will receive important information that will help you to organise your exchange semester.

I look forward to welcoming you in February and wish you a wonderful Christmas holiday.

Prof. Dr. iur. Nicolas Diebold

Dean of the Faculty of Law
