Introduction to Swiss Law
This course gives an overview on the Swiss legal system, the organisation of the Swiss state and the principles of the Swiss political system. Participation is highly recommended. Further details are published in the course catalogue.
Introduction to Public International Law
This course is designed as a ‘crash course’ in the beginning of the semester and seeks to provide a solid understanding on the nature and functioning of public international law, its legal sources and its subjects. Willem C. Vis Moot Court
The Willem C. Vis Moot is an international competition and unique educational experience that allows students from all over the world to gain insight into the fields of International Commercial Arbitration and the CISG. Starting in October 2017 the students first write two submissions to an arbitral tribunal and finally, in early March 2018, plead the case in front of a panel of three experienced practitioners.
Vis Mooties are expected to have good command of English, be able to work in a team, and to be prepared to take up a challenge. The course is conducted entirely in English and rewarded with a maximum of 18 ECTS credits. For further information visit our web page www.unilu.ch/vismoot.
If you are interested in becoming a member of the Lucerne Willem C. Vis Moot Team, please fill in the application form and send it to moot-wienremove-this.@remove-this.unilu.ch, with a copy to studienberatung-rfremove-this.@remove-this.unilu.ch.
