1st Conference of the Swiss Society of Health Economics

The first conference of the Swiss Society of Health Economics will take place on September 14, 2018 at the University of Lucerne under the theme “Health Economics and Health System Reforms".

On September 14, 2018, the first conference of the Swiss Society for Health Economics (sggö), founded in 2016, will take place at the University of Lucerne. The conference aims to bring together researchers, policy-makers and practitioners to showcase and discuss cutting-edge research and emerging ideas in health economics. The theme of the conference is "Health Economics and Health System Reforms". Submissions related to this theme are particularly welcome, but proposals from all areas of health economics will be considered for inclusion in the program. Submission of abstracts is possible until April 30.

On the day before the conference, a PhD workshop will take place also at the University of Lucerne. The workshop gives doctoral students in the field of health economics the opportunity to present and discuss their research projects in a small group of renowned national and international health economists. The workshop is aimed primarily at doctoral students in the network of Swiss universities and the participants of the "International Doctoral Courses in Health Economics and Policy", see www.sggoe.ch/workshop2018

Workshop and conference are organized by Prof. Stefan Boes, Professor of Health Economics at the Department of Health Sciences and Health Policy at the University of Lucerne, Director of the Center for Health, Policy and Economics and vice president of the sggö.
