How do social media contents shape work behaviors?

The Journal of Managerial Psychology publishes a study conducted by Anna Sender, PhD and Pawel Korzynski, PhD.

Research done by Anna Sender and Pawel Korzynski in cooperation with recruitment agency explored whether information about contacts in LinkedIn may lead to job search. Researchers found that some individuals (for example those more employable and more embedded) after receiving information about career advancement of their contacts were more likely to send their CV to recruitment agency. Their research shows how social media contents may via contagion mechanisms influence work behaviors and provides organizations with practical recommendations on retention management and social media strategies.
