Valentina Sontheim completed her BA in Political Science and Economics at the University of Zurich (UZH) and her MA in Economics at the University of St. Gallen (HSG). During her studies, she worked at the Center for Disability and Integration at the University of St. Gallen (CDI). She then completed an internship with the Swiss Confederation in the field of foreign trade statistics. In October 2024, she completed her PhD in the field of health and education economics and has been employed as a postdoctoral researcher since then.
