Darius Meier is a Swiss-Indian Political Economist and PhD Candidate in ethics of digital transformation at Lucerne Graduate School in Ethics (LGSE). After his Economics degree at the University of Lucerne (Supervisor: Prof. Dr. Christoph Schaltegger), he graduated in 2018 with an interdisciplinary master’s degree in Religion-Economics-Politics from the Universities of Basel, Lucerne and Zurich (Supervisor: Prof. Dr. Markus Huppenbauer / Dr. Omar Serrano). During his studies, he completed academic exchanges in Mexico (Instituto Tecnológico Autónomo de México), France (Université de Lille) and Slovenia (University of Ljubljana). Furthermore, he interned with different companies and organizations, among them BASF South-East Europe in Budapest, Hungary and a governmental entity of the Canton of Zurich.
After his studies, Darius Meier joined PwC Advisory where he works in the field of Cybersecurity & Automation besides his PhD-Pursuit. During the past years, he has published various articles on societal challenges in the light of new technologies such as Blockchain and advancing automation.
As an experienced communicator versed in German, English, Hindi / Urdu, French, Spanish, and Brazilian-Portuguese, he actively partakes in regional Politics in the role of Co-President of the Commission for Economic Policy of the FDP Canton Zurich and Board Member of the FDP Zollikon.
