Jasmine Andenmatten studied law at the Universities of Basel and Lucerne as well as at the Tel Aviv University. She gained practical experience by working at the Swiss Embassy in Montevideo, Uruguay as well as the Immigration Office of the Canton Basel-City and the UNHCR Office for Switzerland and Liechtenstein in Geneva. Since Mai 2017, she has been employed as a research associate at the chair of Prof. Dr. Martina Caroni, LL.M. (Yale) and in addition, she worked for the Immigration Office of the Canton Lucerne. Since July 2019, she is solely employed at the said chair and is writing her PhD thesis on "The Right to Health in the Asylum Procedure." In addition, she is volunteering at AsyLex, a non-profit organization providing free legal advice to asylum seekers.
