Frowin Rausis studied sociology at the University of Bern and graduated with a licentiate degree in 2011. During his studies, he was mostly interested in the sociology of culture and the construction of self and others. After completion of his licentiate, he was mandated for several years as an asylum expert on behalf of the Swiss State Secretariat for Migration and the European Asylum Support Office. Between 2016 and 2018, he deepened his academic knowledge through the advanced studies of European Union law at the University of Zurich, focusing on current developments in European migration law.
Since October 2018, Frowin Rausis is a doctoral student in the NCCR – on the move project «The Mobility of Migration Policies», led by Prof. Joachim Blatter.
