Andrea Zimmermann (1984) completed her Bachelor’s Degree in Communication and Media Research, History and Social Anthropology at University of Fribourg and her Master’s Degree in World Society and Global Governance at University of Lucerne. After her studies, she worked as an editor in print and online journalism. From April 2016 to March 2017 she received a scholarship from the Graduate School of Humanities and Social Sciences at the University of Lucerne (GSL).
As fellow of the Swiss National Science Foundation (SNF) she currently is acquiring her PhD in Religious Studies. Her research project focuses on the «The Relevance of Buddhist Religiousness in the Daily Life of Female Thai Marriage Migrants in Switzerland».
Additionally, she is working as project manager for religion.ch.
