Melanie Clegg is a research assistant and Ph.D. student at the chair of Professor Hofstetter. She received her Bachelor of Science in Psychology from the Heinrich-Heine-University Düsseldorf, and her Master of Science in Psychology from the University of Cologne. Melanie Clegg is writing her dissertation in the field of digital marketing and consumer behavior. Her research focuses on consumers’ perceptions of an interactions with digital technologies including algorithms, artificial intelligence, and consumer behavior on social media. Her research has been presented and published in peer reviewed conferences and conference proceedings. One of her projects was nominated for the “best paper award based on doctoral work” of the EMAC conference in 2019, and she recently received a national scholarship for a visiting stay at Columbia Business School.
