The representative study fills a central gap in the publicly available social science data on the employment situation of employees in Switzerland. Our results support decision makers involved in labor market, education and human resources policy makers in the areas of politics, economy and administration. Furthermore, our findings also supplement macroeconomic employment data and the business cycle with information on the employment situation from a microeconomic perspective. In addition, our results allow to identify the special characteristics of employment relations in Swiss organizations, which is of particular importance given the growing internationalization of financial, merchandise and labor markets.
