Pauline Holmer is a clinical psychologist. She received her Bachelor's degree in Potsdam (DE), during which she spent a semester abroad in Toulouse (FR). She completed her Master's degree in Clinical Psychology with a specialization in Educational and Developmental Psychology at the University of Fribourg (CH). There, classes were given in German, English, and French. She wrote her final thesis on emotional concordance, i.e., the synchronization of physiology, experience, and behavior during an emotional episode. Throughout her studies, she was a scholarship recipient of the Konrad Adenauer Foundation. In July 2021, she started her PhD within the GROKIDS project at the University of Lucerne. Her research focuses on acute and long-term impacts of a child's cancer diagnosis on grandparents.
