CV
Anica Ilic holds a BSc in business administration from SUPSI, the University of Applied Sciences and Arts of Southern Switzerland, and a MSc in communication with major in health communication and management from USI, the University of Southern Switzerland. During and after her master studies, she worked as a research assistant at the USI Institute of Communication and Health (ICH), where she mainly collaborated at the Mediaticino2.0 project, a longitudinal study funded by the Swiss National Science Foundation (SNSF) that focuses on the outcomes of mobile media use on the wellbeing of adolescents. For her master’s thesis, she studied medical tourism intentions by applying the Theory of Planned Behavior. Anica started her PhD at the Faculty of Health Sciences and Medicine of the University of Lucerne in April 2019. She collaborates as research assistant in several research projects within the team of Prof. Dr. Gisela Michel and as teaching assistant in the Master’s program in Health Sciences.

The research focus of Anica Ilic is health communication. Her main research topics are information needs and information seeking in the context of health hazards and life-threatening situations.
